Spit.

I don’t know why it bothers me so much, no actually, yes I do.

I have footwear, footwear that has to walk all over the concrete of New York. And for some reason, every male in this city feels the need to hock a fat loogie in front of them on the sidewalk as they are walking. At least some have the weak-decency to spit on to the train tracks–thank you kindly–but most still use the old fashioned defacing of the street with their own bacteria-launching. I have never felt this urge and I contemplate what kind of release it must mean for them.

Does it feel good?

Do they have a bad taste in their mouth?

Is it fun?

Maybe it keeps things interesting for them, a child-like need to compete for distance. Who knows. I do know this; there is not a more unattractive sound in the whole world. And, we all tracking that back into our apartments. I am tired of dodging your spit, please stop, and just swallow. 🙂

Free Online Image Editing- and it’s good.

Sumo Paint is a new (at least for me) online image editing tool that looks a feels a lot like Photoshop. If you never have a need to use it (i.e. you already have CS4) I would still give this a look, it’s pretty impressive for a web tool. Brushes, layers, filters, wand tools, cropping, its all there.
